Growing up on a dairy farm, Trevor’s skills in technology were apparent from a very young age. Intrigued how things worked, he would dismantle items such as clocks, and sometime reassemble... if he didn’t lose any parts (or interest) along the way. In 1982, Trevor was signed up to the World Wide Web. I know this for a fact because I’ve seen the receipt. While it wasn’t as useful as the internet we know today, the black screen and green text served a purpose.

It’s clear everyone that meets Trevor, that he has a real talent and passion for implementing all forms of change within an organisation. He is an IT savvy person and stays updated with all the latest ITC developments for his personal interest and clients benefit. One of the unique things about Trevor is his ability to communicate to people on different levels. For example, he can talk technical to the IT staff, impress board members with is knowledge and keep stakeholders happy with increased profits. Whether you’re the CEO, a contracting tradesman or the cleaner, you’ll feel at easy communicating with Trev as he’ll understand your point of view.

Since obtaining his MBA a decade ago, Trevor is keen to begin his doctorate when he gets a spare minute or two.  Continual learning is something Trevor does to keep his mind active. Pod casts, business magazines, books, networking and online research ensures Trevor remains current with all the latest business trends and technology. In fact, Trevor’s need to be continually challenged has probably lead him to create such a busy and successful consultancy business.

Contributing to his community, Trevor has led E-commerce boards which run information and networking session for businesses of regional Victoria. Other achievements of this group include several government funded projects and the colaboration of many local businesses through the group. Upon request, Trevor takes time out of his busy day to speak to our project managers of tomorrow, at LaTrobe University.  On occasions, he’ll volunteer his time to speak at relevant business events. While twice a week, he teachers a sporting club where he is very much appreciated and respected.

On the family front, he has a loving wife Shae, who runs her own marketing business called ‘ideas on offer.’  She has a bachelor in Business & HRM and is the Marketing Manager of CIO Plus. Their three very active boys are Cortez, Denzel and Azlan. Yes the names are a little different, but with a last name as Smith, what are you going to do?
